Comment

In the treaty of peace between France and Austria, following the Spanish Succession War, it was stipulated that the Electors of Bavaria and Cologne be restored to their lands. To reconcile the diverse interests of the various states of the empire, another treaty was required. Participants chose to assemble at the small town of Baden in Aargau on 7 September 1714. The treaty was signed by Prince Eugene and the Maréchal de Villars.

Interesting fact

The 1714 Schwäbisch Hall 1 Ducat coin is notable for its unique design, featuring a symbol of peace on one side and the coat of arms of the City of Schwäbisch Hall on the other. This coin was minted during a time of relative peace in Europe, following the end of the Great Northern War, and its design reflects the desire for continued peace and prosperity.
