Interesting fact
The obverse of the coin features a portrait of King George I, who was the first king of Greece and ruled from 1832 until his assassination in 1862. The coin was issued during the reign of his son, King George II, who ruled from 1862 until 1913. Despite being issued during a time of political turmoil, the coin remained in circulation until 1883, when it was replaced by a new design. This coin is a rare and valuable collector's item, with only a limited number of coins minted during its production run.
