Comment
The prototype for these coins is a Sasanian drachm of King Varhran V.The "Mug" type pieces are large and thin, often resulting in cracks on the coins.
An example of a "Mug" type piece of Turgar has been posted on Zeno (73877), and is seemingly unique. Turgar used the title Ikhshid from 738 to 750, and because this piece does not bare the title, this coin was likely issued in from 731 to 738, when he was Governor of Kabudan.
Interesting fact
One interesting fact about this coin is that it features a unique "mug" type design, which is a distinctive feature of the Bukhar Khudat dynasty's coinage during that time period.
