Comment
Krause lists these coins as Copper-Nickel with a fineness of .999. This is assumed to be an error on their website. The Tyrannosaurus Rex lived in the late Cretaceous and was a huge bipedal carnivore with a massive skull balanced by a long tail. In relation to its long and powerful hind limbs, its upper limbs were small, but very powerful for its size, ending in two clawed toes.
It was the largest theropod and one of the largest known predators on Earth.
Interesting fact
The Tyrannosaurus Rex coin from Sierra Leone is unique in that it features a magnetic core, which is made of silver-plated nickel-steel. This is a distinct feature that sets it apart from other coins, and it's interesting to note that the use of magnets in coins is not common.
