Interesting fact
The interesting fact about the 1840-1866 Seated Liberty silver dollar coin is that it was designed by Christian Gobrecht, who was the Chief Engraver of the United States Mint at the time. Gobrecht's design features a seated figure of Liberty on the obverse (front) side of the coin, with a shield and a bundle of arrows in her left hand and a liberty cap on a pole in her right hand. The reverse (back) side of the coin features an eagle with outstretched wings and a shield with the motto "E Pluribus Unum" (Latin for "Out of many, one") above it. This design was used for silver dollars minted from 1840 to 1866, and it is considered a classic and iconic representation of American coinage.
