Interesting fact

The interesting fact about the 1883 Hawaiian silver dollar coin is that it was designed by Charles E. Barber, who was also the designer of the famous Morgan dollar. The obverse of the coin features a portrait of King Kalākaua I, while the reverse features the coat of arms of Hawaii, including a hula dancer, a pineapple, and a palm tree. The coin was minted in San Francisco and was used as legal tender in Hawaii until 1900, when the Hawaiian monarchy was overthrown and the United States annexed the islands. Today, the coin is a highly sought-after collector's item and is considered a piece of Hawaiian history.
