Comment
Bearing a rare double-sided design from the Royal Australian Mint, this brand new $1 NCLT silver coin honours Queensland’s Coat of Arms.Featured prominently, one either side, is the Brolga and the Red Deer. These two strange ‘bedfellows’ appear on the Queensland Coat of Arms symbolizing the native population (Brolga) as well as the link to the “Old World”, with the introduced species of Red Deer. Also making an appearance, a sheaf of wheat, a bull and a ram, and a sugar cane stalk, all of which can be seen on the official State badge.
Interesting fact
One interesting fact about this coin is that it features a unique design that showcases the coat of arms of Queensland, which is a state in Australia. The coat of arms includes symbols such as a golden sun, a blue Maltese cross, and a crown, which represent various aspects of the state's history and culture. This design is only featured on the 2023 edition of the $1 silver coin, making it a distinctive and collectible item for coin enthusiasts.
