Comment

Harry S. Truman (May 8, 1884 – December 26, 1972) was the 33rd president of the United States, serving from 1945 to 1953. A member of the Democratic Party, he previously served as a United States senator from Missouri from 1935 to 1945 and briefly as the 34th vice president in 1945 under Franklin D. Roosevelt. Assuming the presidency after Roosevelt's death, Truman implemented the Marshall Plan in the wake of World War II to rebuild the economy of Western Europe and established both the Truman Doctrine and NATO to contain the expansion of Soviet communism.

Interesting fact

The Harry S. Truman dollar coin from Liberia, issued in 1995, features a unique design that sets it apart from other coins. On the obverse side, the coin features a portrait of Harry S. Truman, the 33rd President of the United States, while the reverse side depicts the Liberian coat of arms. This design was chosen to commemorate Truman's role in the Liberian independence movement and his support for the country's development. The coin's unique design and historical significance make it a valuable collector's item for numismatists and history enthusiasts alike.
