Comment
This coin features the obverse as it normally appeared on Canadian coins, unlike the 1935 dollar. In all, there are 13 known additional varieties of this coin, the rarest of which are the JOP types, hallmarked J.O.P. Joseph Oliva Patenaude above the year, and the varieties with the "6" away.
Interesting fact
One interesting fact about the 1936 Canadian Silver Dollar coin is that it was minted with a unique silver composition of 80% silver and 20% copper, which is different from the standard 90% silver composition used in most silver coins of that era. This makes it a distinct and sought-after collector's item among numismatists.
