The Dresden Triptych, in German: Dresden Marienaltar, or Triptych Giustiniani, is a small triptych painted by the Flemish primitive painter Jan van Eyck around 1437. It is now on display at the Gemäldegalerie Alte Meister in Dresden. Prior to Dresden, the work was part of the Jabach collection. It depicts the Virgin and Child in the central panel, with St. Catherine in the right-hand panel and St. Michael and the donor in the left-hand panel. Judging by the coat of arms in the left-hand frame, the donor is a member of the Genoese Giustiniani family, possibly Michele Giustiniani. On the reverse of the panels, an Annunciation scene in grisaille.
A 1958 restoration on the border of the central panel revealed the painter's signature and the date 1437. (Source : www.wikipedia.org)
