Comment
Henry Morgan, born on January 24, 1635 in Wales and died on August 23, 1688 in Jamaica, was a buccaneer who often tried his hand at piracy, or one of the most famous buccaneer pirates who often accepted privateering missions. A violent, unscrupulous man, he led the life of a bandit, stealing and killing without counting the cost, but his daring expeditions, most of which took place on land, made him one of the most respected captains in the Caribbean. He regarded ships as a means of road transport, but not as a valuable weapon. Indeed, his lack of skill as a captain led to many shipwrecks. Despite his cruelty, he was knighted at the end of his life (Source: www.wikipedia.org).Interesting fact
The 2011 Tuvalu $1 coin featuring Elizabeth II (Henry Morgan) is a non-circulating coin, meaning it was not intended for general circulation and was instead produced for collectors.
