Comment
First introduced in 1990, the Kookaburra series is the longest running series produced by the famed Perth Mint of Australia, as well as the first series to have a different reverse design for each year. This latest release is the 31st coin of the series and follows the 30th anniversary edition introduced in 2020. Minted in .9999 pure silver, this is the fourth coin since 2018 to have this purity of metal, the previous coins being minted in .999 pure silver.Interesting fact
The 2021 Australian Kookaburra 1 oz Silver Coin features a unique and rare minting error, known as a "struck-through" error, where the design on the reverse side of the coin appears to be struck through with a thin layer of silver, creating a ghostly effect that is highly sought after by collectors.
