Issued by the Perth Mint - $1 One Ounce Silver Lunar Series 1 Coin. This coin is part of the First Lunar Series, which on Silver only coins commenced in 1999, and continued until 2010 to enable the full 12 Chinese Calendar animals to be issued in this design.
The second series, Lunar Series II, which had a slightly different design commenced in 2008. This caused Series I and II to overlap during a two-year span from 2008 to 2010.
This is the reason this coin has an obverse dated 2007 and a reverse with a date of 2008.
