Comment
2001 was the International Year of the Volunteer, and the Royal Australian Mint released a commemorative coin celebrating the event. The International Year of the Volunteer dollar was a general circulation release and was struck in the usual aluminium bronze material and with interrupted edge reeding. The reverse of the coin shows the International Year of the Volunteer logo.In 2011 a 20 cent coin was issued with a similar logo to celebrate the 10th Anniversary of this event, see link below.
