Comment
Coin struck by the RAM but issued by Australia Post as change into circulation from 3500 Post Offices Australia wide. The coins are featuring 26 classic Aussie icons from letters of the Alphabet from A to Z.This coin is the Letter "Y" for Yowie. The origin of the mythical Yowie is found in Aboriginal Dreamtime where they're also known as 'Yahoos'. They're common legend around Australia and generally described as a tall, hairy human-like creature that lives in the bush. Stories of similarcreatures also exist in other countries, including the Canadian Sasquatch, US Big-Foot and the Himalayan Yeti.
A press in album for the 26 coins was available for $9 or you can buy the full set of 26 coins in a special tube including the album for $49.
