Interesting fact
The Australovenator dinosaur featured on the coin is a unique and fascinating species that was discovered in Australia in 2007. It was a carnivorous theropod that lived during the early Cretaceous period, around 100 million years ago. The coin's design showcases the dinosaur in a running pose, highlighting its agility and speed. The inclusion of this species on the coin adds an interesting element of natural history to the coin's design and makes it stand out among other coins featuring the standard portrait of Queen Elizabeth II.
