The Letter F Coin features Australia’s largest bat, the grey-headed Flying Fox, in its natural habitat playfully interacting with the letter "F" encircled by eighteen footprints.

This coin was issued by the Royal Australian Mint from 2015 to 2017 as part of a series of 26 different $1 Coloured Reverse Frosted Uncirculated Fine Silver (.999) Alphabet Coins which capture the love of Australian animals and the alphabet. They were issued individually in capsules in a plush case.Aluminium-bronze versions of the coin were also issued and could be collected individually as issued in a card or included as part of the Baby Mint Set. Hidden objects are found on the coins.
The silver coins were issued in 2015 with an Orange "F", 2016 with a Magenta "F" and 2017 with a Green "F"
