This crown-sized dollar coin commemorates the 25th anniversary of the coronation of Elizabeth II on the 2nd June, 1953.
It was struck by the Royal Canadian Mint.
It was issued in the usual square plastic jewel case.
The Annual BU Year set also included the coin.
A silver proof version was also issued (see link)
Interesting fact
The 1978 New Zealand Elizabeth II Coronation Jubilee $1 coin features a unique design that showcases the Queen's crown, which is surrounded by a wreath of New Zealand's national flower, the silver fern. This design was created to commemorate the 25th anniversary of Queen Elizabeth II's coronation.
