Comment
A mistake was made at the Royal Canadian Mint: these coins were struck with an obverse of the 1985 New Zealand 50 cents and a reverse of the 1985 Canadian dollar.

Interesting fact
One interesting fact about the 1985 Canadian and New Zealand $1 Elizabeth II Mule coin is that it is a rare error coin. The coin was mistakenly minted with the obverse die of the Canadian dollar and the reverse die of the New Zealand dollar, resulting in a unique combination of designs that is not found on any other coin. This error has made the coin highly sought after by collectors, and it is considered a prized addition to any collection of rare coins.
