New Zealand’s wildlife is celebrated on the one- and two-dollar coins. The one-dollar coin features New Zealand’s national bird, the Kiwi.
Minted in Proof Finish by the Royal Dutch Mint each coin is specially dated 2024 and is the first to feature the portrait of King Charles III.
The Proof coin is also composed of different metal to the circulation issue. Instead of Aluminium-bronze it is made of Brass.
