Interesting fact
The 1966-1975 Liberian $1 coin made of copper-nickel has an interesting feature. It has a unique "key date" in the series, which is the 1970 coin, as it has a slightly different design than the other coins in the series. The 1970 coin features a more detailed portrait of Liberia's president, William Tubman, and a different rendition of the Liberian coat of arms on the reverse. This makes it stand out from the other coins in the series and makes it a sought-after collector's item.
