Comment

Joan of Arc (c. 1412 – 30 May 1431), who called herself "Joan the Maiden" and is now nicknamed "The Maid of Orléans", is considered a heroine of France for her role during the Lancastrian phase of the Hundred Years' War. She is also a saint in the Roman Catholic Church.

Interesting fact

The Joan of Arc coin from Andorra features an image of the legendary heroine on horseback, with her sword raised high. The design was created by the French sculptor and engraver, Joaquim Jimenez, and it's considered one of the most iconic representations of Joan of Arc on a coin.
