Comment
Heritage Auction lists the date as 377; however, that is during the time Ziyarids were under Buwayhid occupation (where, according to Stephen Album, “Qabus ruled as vassal of the Buwayhids, and struck coins solely in the name of his Buwayhid overlord,” and are therefore considered Buwayhid issues (3rd edition; page 172)). On Zeno, the date has been correction to AH 370:

Interesting fact
One interesting fact about this coin is that it was issued during the reign of Qabus ibn Wushmagir, who was the ruler of the Ziyarid dynasty in Tabaristan (present-day Iran) from 977 to 981. The coin features an inscription in Arabic that reads "al-Mu'izz li-Din Allah Qabus ibn Wushmagir" which means "The one who makes God's religion victorious, Qabus ibn Wushmagir." This inscription suggests that Qabus was a prominent figure in the region and that he was known for his religious and political influence. Additionally, the fact that the coin is made of gold and weighs 2.78 grams indicates that it was a valuable and significant coin during its time.
