Interesting fact
One interesting fact about the Seated Liberty Dime is that it was the first dime to feature a portrait of Lady Liberty with her hair tied in a bun and a crown, which was designed by Mint Engraver Christian Gobrecht. This design was a departure from the previous Draped Bust Dime, which featured a more classical depiction of Liberty. The Seated Liberty Dime was also the first dime to include the value of the coin, "ONE DIME," on the reverse, which made it easier for people to identify and use in everyday transactions.
