Interesting fact

One interesting fact about the 1798-1807 Draped Bust Dime is that it was the first coin to feature the image of Lady Liberty on a US coin. The design of Lady Liberty on the obverse (front) side of the coin was created by John Reich and is based on a famous statue of Liberty that was erected in New York Harbor in 1886. The image of Lady Liberty on the coin has become an iconic symbol of American freedom and democracy.
