Interesting fact
The 1 Denning coin from Denmark, issued during the reign of Christian IV (1620-1630), was made of silver, but it was also one of the first coins to feature a portrait of the king on one side and a coat of arms on the other. This design was a departure from the traditional religious imagery that had been featured on coins up until that time, and it marked a shift towards more secular designs in coinage.
