The 1 Denier coin from Charles III's reign (1733-1734) was the first silver coin to be introduced in Hungary, and it was also the first coin to feature the Hungarian coat of arms. This coin was a significant departure from the previous coins that were used in Hungary, which were mostly made of copper and had a much lower value. The introduction of the silver 1 Denier coin marked a turning point in Hungary's monetary system and paved the way for the use of silver coins in the country.
