Comment

This coin, and the other Daler SM coins, minted during 1715-1719 were emergency coins struck during a period of hard economic crisis. Even if they bear the value of a daler they were strongly underweight (a daler in copper would have to weigh about 756 grams) that's why their minting ceased in 1719. However these emergency coins were used for a long time, before with value of 1 öre KM, and then of 1/12 skilling.

Interesting fact

The 1 Daler Silvermynt was a coin used in Sweden during the 18th century, and the Charles XII (The Crown) 1715 variety is particularly notable because it was issued during the reign of Charles XII, who was known for his military conquests and his efforts to modernize Sweden's economy. The coin was made of copper and weighed 3.6 grams, which was a significant amount for a coin at that time. Despite its relatively small size, the 1 Daler Silvermynt was an important part of Sweden's currency system and was widely used throughout the country. Today, it is a sought-after collector's item among numismatists and historians interested in Swedish currency.
