This third bust variety is of the same general style as the 1st and 2nd harp types but the dies have been recut and the hair varied a little. The hair tie is slightly longer and thinner than the normal 3rd bust. The standard weight of this coin was 30/31 troy ounce or 464.5 grains.
Interesting fact
One interesting fact about the 1700 William III 1 Crown coin is that it features a unique design element known as the "3rd harp" on the reverse side of the coin. This harp motif was only used on coins minted during William III's reign, and it is considered a distinctive feature of this particular coin.
