Obverse: Portrait of Queen Elizabeth II. Reverse:takes its inspiration from the Victory medal, awarded to over 6 million people who served between 1914-1918. The theme is “Remembrance” featuring the vision of a compassionate and mournful Victory at the Wall of The Armed Forces Memorial at the National Arboretum in Staffordshire. She traces the names of those lost, solemnly reflecting on the cost of war, immortalised in the coin’s inscription - taken from the last line of the stanza of Binyon’s Ode of Remembrance ‘We Will Remember Them’.Interesting fact
