The Battle of ThapsusIt was a battle fought during Civil War that broke out in 50 BC, after Gaius Julius Caesar had crossed Rubicon and entered Italy without disbanding his legion, Legio XIII Gemina, as it was ordered by Senate. The battle took place on April 6, 46 BC near Thapsus (in modern Tunisia). In this battle, Julius Caesar had defeated his opponents forcing some of them to commit suicide and others to surrender and accept his pardon.
