Interesting fact
One interesting fact about the 1902 Edward VII 1 Crown coin is that it was the first coin to feature the image of King Edward VII, who had recently ascended to the throne following the death of his mother, Queen Victoria. This coin was also the first to be minted with the new "English" design, which featured a more naturalistic portrait of the king and a redesigned reverse side featuring a crowned shield with the inscription "ONE CROWN". This design change marked a significant departure from the traditional Victorian-era coinage designs and paved the way for modern coin design.
