The 1 Centavo coin from El Salvador was designed by the famous Salvadoran artist, Fernando Llort. He was known for his work in modern art and was commissioned by the government to design the coin. The design features the national emblem of El Salvador, which includes a shield with the country's flag, a bird, and a volcano. The coin also features the denomination "1 Centavo" and the year "1981" on either side of the shield. This coin was part of a series of coins that were minted to commemorate the country's 100th anniversary of independence.
