Interesting fact
The "Liberty Head / Matron Head" 1 cent coin from the United States, produced between 1816 and 1835, has an interesting feature. The design of the coin was altered during its production run. The coin's obverse initially featured a left-facing portrait of Liberty wearing a coronet, but in 1825, the design was modified to show a right-facing Matron Head. This change was made to symbolize the growth and development of the young nation.
