Interesting fact
The 1 Cent (Independence) 1972 coin from Trinidad and Tobago was designed by local artist and sculptor, Isaac L. Henry. The coin features a portrait of Trinidad and Tobago's first prime minister, Eric Williams, on the obverse, and the Trinidad and Tobago coat of arms on the reverse. The coin was issued to commemorate the country's independence from British colonial rule, which was achieved on August 31, 1972.
