Interesting fact
One interesting fact about the 1970 Bahamian 1 Cent coin is that it features a unique reverse design that showcases a rendition of the national flower of the Bahamas, the Yellow Elder, surrounded by a wreath of laurel leaves. This design was created by the Bahamian artist, Gladstone "Sandy" Nairn, and it has been featured on the 1 Cent coin since its introduction in 1966.
