The bird on the reverse is a thrush (Turdus ravidus), a now extinct bird endemic to Grand Cayman.

Interesting fact

The 1 Cent coin featuring Elizabeth II's 4th portrait is the first coin of its denomination to be made of copper-plated steel, rather than the traditional bronze. This change in composition was made to reduce the cost of production and extend the coin's lifespan.
