Interesting fact

The 1 Cent coin featuring Elizabeth II (2nd portrait) from Eastern Caribbean States, made of Aluminium and weighing 0.8g, was the first coin to be introduced in the Eastern Caribbean States in 1981. It replaced the previous 1 cent coin that was made of bronze and featured Queen Elizabeth II's first portrait. The change in material and design was made to reduce the cost of production and to make the coin more durable.
