Comment
Java and Sumatra local inventions imitating Chinese Cash Coins.
Obverse imitating Xiangfu Yuanbao from Northern Song Dynasty, reverse imitating Boo-yūn mintmarks during Qing Dynasty.
However, David Hartill, on P.172 of A Guide to Cash Coins (2017) listed Boo-Yuwan instead.
The coin was most likely minted after 1724, when the Boo-yūn mintmark first appeared.
Interesting fact
One interesting fact about this coin is that it is made of zinc, which is a relatively inexpensive and durable metal, yet it is designed to resemble the ancient Chinese silver Yuanbao coins. This coin's unique blend of traditional design and modern materials reflects the country's rich history and cultural heritage, while also being practical for everyday use.
