Interesting fact

One interesting fact about the Shunzhi Tongbao coin is that it was minted during the reign of the Shunzhi Emperor, who was the third emperor of the Qing dynasty and ruled from 1644 to 1661. The coin features the Chinese character "通" (tong) on the reverse side, which means "circulating" or "standard," indicating its status as a standard circulation coin. Additionally, the coin was minted in the city of Ningbo, which was an important commercial center in southern China during the Qing dynasty.
