Thirteen varieties are identified in CNI. One variant has no rings around the letter A obverse. Variants in the inscription (both sides) are also known.Eugene reigned 1431-1447. However in the middle of his reign (1433-1446) Francesco Sforza reigned as marquis of the city. It is not known whether this type was issued 1431-33 or 1446-47.
