Comment

The Banco Thaler was based on the Burgundian Zinna standard (10½ Thalers to the Cologne Mark) and corresponded to the Dutch silver ducat and the Albertus thalers. 100,000 pieces were minted, but only a few were released for circulation. The rest remained in the state treasury and were melted down in 1790.
