Comment
During the early year of production, this silver Baht coin faced the problem of counterfeiting, so the mint edited a small point of inscription at 4 o'clock on the reverse. The "short tailed ๕" coins are minted only in early years so they are more uncommon than the "long tailed ๕".The mint started adding the date to track the number of coins in circulation in RS120/AD1901.
There are many minor varieties within the inscriptions and edge reeding.

Interesting fact
One interesting fact about the 1 Baht - Rama V (without date) ND (1876-1900) coin from Thailand is that it was made of silver, which was a significant departure from the previous coins that were made of copper or bronze. This change in material was likely due to the increased value of silver at the time and the desire to create a coin that was more durable and valuable. The use of silver in the coin's production also gave it a distinctive look and feel that set it apart from other coins in circulation.
