Comment
“The reverse features the Arabic phrase, al-khayr fi ma waqa`, 'the good is in what has happened', an oblique reference to Nadir's success after the demise of the Safavids in 1148. The Arabic letters in this inscription add up to 1148 according to the abjad system, in which each letter of the Arabic alphabet is assigned a numerical value. Chronograms were frequently used in literature and tomb inscriptions, but infrequently on coins.” - Stephen Album
For this type, the mint is on one side of the coin while the date is the on other.
Interesting fact
One interesting fact about this coin is that it was minted during the reign of Nader Shah, who was a powerful and influential ruler in Iran's history. He was known for his military conquests and his efforts to modernize and centralize the government, and his reign saw the introduction of new currency and coinage systems. This coin, with its unique design and silver content, is a tangible piece of history that reflects the economic and political developments of that time.
