Interesting fact

The Pattern ½ Yuan coin was designed by the Central Mint of the Republic of China in 1936 and 1937, and it features a unique blend of Chinese and Western design elements. The obverse side of the coin features a portrait of Sun Yat-sen, the founder of the Republic of China, surrounded by a wreath of flowers and leaves, while the reverse side features a traditional Chinese dragon and a pearl, symbolizing good fortune and prosperity. The coin was minted in silver and has a weight of 9.06 grams, making it a valuable collector's item for numismatists and enthusiasts of Chinese history.
