Interesting fact
The ½ Thaler coin from the Electorate of Bavaria, minted in 1794 during the reign of Charles Theodor, was made of silver and features an interesting design element - the obverse side of the coin depicts a portrait of Charles Theodor, while the reverse side features an image of a crowned shield with the Bavarian coat of arms. This design was meant to symbolize the unity of the Bavarian people under their ruler, Charles Theodor.
