Interesting fact
The ¼ Talara toruńskiego coin featuring Sigismund III Vasa (Toruń) 1630 from the Polish–Lithuanian Commonwealth was made of silver, but it was also one of the first coins to use a new technology called "milled" or "machine-struck" coinage. This technology allowed for more precise and consistent minting, resulting in coins that were more uniform in weight, size, and design than previous coins. This innovation made the coin more reliable and harder to counterfeit, and it paved the way for the development of modern coinage.
