Interesting fact

The 1821 George IV ½ Sovereign coin features a unique design element - a small shield with the initials "G.F." (for "Georgius Faber," or "George the Maker") hidden within the crown on the obverse side. This subtle detail was added by the coin's designer, Benedetto Pistrucci, as a signature mark and a nod to the artistic collaboration between himself and the King.
