Type part of the third issue of Maria Theresa, struck at the Brussels mint.
The 1/8 sol was considered a small liard, also called "gigots".

The 1/8 sol was struck to have course only in the Duchy of Luxembourg, however, we rarely find this type, explanations:

Some people, at the time, erased the bar, the 8 and rosettes, whitened the pieces and made them look like pieces of .
