Interesting fact
The ½ Skilling coin from Norway, issued during the reign of Carl XIV (1839-1841), features a unique design element - a small hole in the center of the coin. This hole was intentionally added to the coin's design to help people distinguish it from counterfeit coins, which were prevalent at the time. This feature makes the coin particularly interesting and valuable to collectors.
